Teaching Philosophy

To encourage students to identify their career development goals early and establish motivated learning, the program implements the following measures:

Since the first cohort, a "Mini Innovation Presentation" has been held each semester, encouraging students to seek opportunities for innovative practices in their work.

To further support students in developing personalized career plans and experimenting with workplace innovation, an elective course titled "Industry Innovation" was introduced two years ago. Industry experts, such as Mr. Cheng Cheng-Chung, Chief Strategy Officer of Philips Taiwan, collaborate with full-time faculty to guide students in crafting their career plans. Each semester, students propose a workplace innovation topic, implement their ideas, and present their outcomes during the aforementioned presentations.

After four years of experimentation and refinement, a mandatory "Industry Innovation Series" course was launched in the 2014 academic year. This series spans eight semesters, with each semester carrying 2 credits, totaling 16 credits. All students are required to "proactively" and "early on" engage with their career fields. Over eight semesters, under the guidance of faculty with academic and practical expertise, students revise their "Personal Career Plan" eight times and complete eight innovative workplace practice cases.

Although this year's graduates did not experience the full series, those who participated in previous experimental courses and innovation presentations have demonstrated significantly higher learning motivation. Their post-graduation paths—whether in entrepreneurship, employment, or further studies—show more distinctive choices. Notably, some alumni have taken the initiative to plan an Alumni Support Platform. This platform aims to foster collaboration between alumni, the program, and current students, facilitating knowledge and resource sharing, as well as professional networking.
