Exam-Related Regulations

(I) Admission by Application

[Eligibility]

  1. Graduating or graduated students from a senior secondary school, vocational high school recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE), domestically or overseas, or individuals who meet the MOE's standards of equivalent education; and meet additional requirements for specific departments.

  2. Male applicants are not required to have completed military service; those who have not yet served may defer enlistment after registration. For indigenous additional quota, applicants must have indigenous status to qualify.

[Related Regulations]

  1. Students previously enrolled in teacher training schools are not eligible to apply under the equivalent educational status.

  2. Students who do not have overseas Chinese status from the Jakarta Taiwan School, Surabaya Taipei International School, Penang Taipei School, Kuala Lumpur Taipei School, Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Taiwan School, and other approved Taiwanese schools must meet the same requirements as students from domestic public or recognized private senior secondary schools.

  3. Students who have relocated to Malaysia but do not have overseas Chinese status, and therefore did not study Malay, may apply under equivalent education status upon obtaining a certificate of completion for one year or more of a three-year high school course, verified by the relevant foreign office.

  4. Students who have studied in other universities or colleges (including dropouts or graduates) and graduates of junior colleges must apply using their senior high school qualification. Once admitted as freshmen, credits can be exempted according to school credit exemption policies.

  5. Active-duty soldiers, current military personnel, military academy graduates, police university graduates, public teacher training graduates, and other individuals with special identities must follow the regulations of the respective governing authorities to determine eligibility. Candidates must obtain permission before applying. Fu Jen Catholic University is not responsible for holding admission if applicants fail to obtain permission.

  6. Because this undergraduate program is a continuing education program, it does not apply to any preferential admission for candidates with special identities.

  7. Foreign students, overseas Chinese students, Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland Chinese students are not allowed to apply, except those who already have legal residency in Taiwan for reasons unrelated to education. These students must apply for study according to the "Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan," "Regulations Regarding the Study of Hong Kong and Macau Residents in Taiwan," and "Regulations Regarding the Study of Mainland Chinese Students in Taiwan."

  8. Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must meet relevant educational recognition regulations. Please fill out the "Foreign Academic Qualification Declaration" in the appendix of this brochure and send it to the Night Division Office, Academic Affairs Office, 2nd Floor, Teaching Building.

(II) Winter Transfer Exam

[Eligibility]

Anyone meeting one of the following qualifications may apply for the university's transfer student exam (if there are any unresolved issues, they are handled in accordance with Article 4 of the "Regulations on Equivalent Educational Standards for University Admission" issued by the Ministry of Education):

  1. Students expelled from this university due to conduct violations are not allowed to apply.

  2. Publicly funded students and those with internship or service requirements (e.g., military academy graduates, active-duty military personnel, police) must handle applications in accordance with relevant regulations.

  3. Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must have their schools recognized by the Ministry of Education. If documents are found to be falsified or not meeting MOE standards after admission, acceptance will be canceled.

  4. According to Article 15 of the "Implementation Measures for Exemption from Conscription and Postponement of Enlistment and Recall," senior secondary school graduates who enroll in schools of the same or lower level without approval from the Ministry of the Interior cannot apply for deferment.

  5. Foreign students, overseas Chinese students, Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland Chinese students cannot apply unless they have obtained legal residency in Taiwan for reasons unrelated to education.

  6. Overseas Chinese students and Hong Kong and Macau residents must follow the "Regulations on Studying in Taiwan for Overseas Chinese Students" and "Regulations Regarding the Study of Hong Kong and Macau Residents in Taiwan."

  7. Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must meet the relevant educational recognition regulations.

(III) Summer Transfer Exam

[Eligibility]

Anyone meeting one of the following qualifications may apply for the university's transfer student exam (if there are any unresolved issues, they are handled in accordance with Article 4 of the "Regulations on Equivalent Educational Standards for University Admission" issued by the Ministry of Education):
